I applaud the "Maycember" term, too. It was even crazier for me as speech pathologist in the schools, trying to get all of my work done in addition to all of these life milestones. My husband and I both have May birthdays, too. The birthdays were celebrated, but nevery anything big. I love the chicken salad recipe's "shelled walnuts" detail. Has anyone ever shelled a walnut?

Can’t imagine the logistics involved that Edna used to get the job done. The chicken salad looks good; think I’ll try it with some of those Edna muffins.

I now want to count the numbers of those events as the youngest of six but then I realize my parents were much older. I have a pre-boomer brother. There were no pre-schools, no competitive sports. Only 3 attended college right-out-of-high-school. 3 in service. There were three traditional weddings and one ordination but nothing checked all the boomer boxes. Mom didn’t even drive. Of course there were mandatory school plays through 8 th grade —every grade. That alone equals 53! My head is spinning. I think Edna and Catherine would have liked each other and each other’s recipes for 100. 🥂

I graduated first in my class from high school in 1980 and the only photo we have is one from the newspaper front page- haha!
